Latte Art Stories

A latte art game for iPhone

Pour latte art by tilting your phone.

Tip forward and the milk flows. Sway to lay the leaves, then flick back to cut through. Twenty figures to learn, from a first heart to a phoenix.

The game's result screen: a rosetta poured in a white cup on a wooden table, scored 1,000 with three stars and a comment from the reviewer.

Four moves, the way a barista makes them

The phone is the pitcher. Hold it level, wait for the count of three, and every move is graded the moment you make it.

  1. Pour

Tip forward to pour; tip further to pour faster. Level the phone when the ring turns gold and the foam stops right on it.

  2. Ripple

Sway from side to side to lay a rosetta's leaves, keeping your marker inside the moving target while you hold a steady flow.

  3. Trickle

Ease back to a thin stream, like lifting the pitcher away from the cup.

  4. Flick

Flick the phone back to pull through the foam. How fast you flick decides how far and how hard it cuts.

Mid-pour on the Rosetta: foam leaves forming in the cup while a marker follows a moving target.

Twenty figures, one ladder

Only Monk's Head is open at first. Earn two stars on a figure and the next one opens. Any figure you have opened can be poured again for a better score.

The figure menu: six drinks across the top, and the list of figures scrolled to the twelfth, with the earlier ones cleared and the later ones still locked.

Six drinks, each with its own look

Coffee is there from the start, and every second figure you clear opens another: four more lattes, then hot chocolate. Each drink has its own cup, its own table and its own reviewer. Milk or oat milk is always your call.

Every cup gets its review

When the foam settles, the cup is shared. Reactions rain down as the score counts up toward 1,000, then the barista account behind the drink leaves a comment.

A rough pour collects a few dozen likes. A perfect one collects millions.

A finished rosetta being shared: emoji reactions fall over the cup while the score counts up.
  • The cup is your pour

Nothing is stamped on. Milk landing in the cup pushes what is already there outward, so a second pour wraps the first into a crescent, just as it does in a real cup.

  • Graded move by move

How much you poured, how true your path was, how thin the stream and how fast the flick. Each move tells you what it thought, straight away.

  • No account, no sign-up

Open it and pour. Your stars and your drinks stay on your iPhone.

Your first heart is one pour away.
